Skihoo! wallpapers are the ideal way to give your computer that breath of fresh alpine air. Perhaps more importantly, they're completely FREE and easy to install.

 installation instructions:

Windows:

1 - Find the wallpaper that pleases you the most (if you wish to view the wallpapers in greater quality and detail, then simply click on the links below each wallpaper).

2 - Choose the wallpaper resolution that matches your desktop's resolution (you can find out by right-clicking on your desktop, going down and selecting Properties > Settings > Screen Area).

3 - Click on the link corresponding to your chosen resolution. A new window will be opened in your browser containing the photo. Right-click on the photo and select the option Set as Wallpaper.

4 - Sit back and enjoy your new alpine vista!

Macintosh:
(someone has to be different I suppose)

1 - Find the wallpaper that pleases you the most (if you wish to view the wallpapers in greater quality and detail, then simply click on the links below each wallpaper)

2 - Choose the wallpaper resolution that matches your desktop's resolution (you can find out by clicking on the screen icon of your toolbar)

3 - Whilst holding down the CTRL key, click on the link corresponding to your chosen resolution . A menu you should appear offering, among other options, to Save the Target to a Local Disk. Select this option by clicking on it.

4 - A dialogue box will now appear asking where you would like to save the image. It doesn't really matter where you save the file on your hard drive. Just remember to note the location of the destination directory!

5 - Once the image has finished downloading to your Mac's hard drive, go to Apple > Control Panel > Appearances. Click on the Desktop tab. Find the wallpaper button and click on it. You can now navigate using Finder to the destination directory and find your chosen image. Click Open and then Apply.
